This year, we were scheduled to make a return visit to our “twin” choir in Gelsenkirchen (Musikverein Gelsenkirchen). Instead through the auspices of the Goethe Institut, we have maintained our connection through a joint online venture, consisting initially of four rehearsals conducted via Zoom – two hosted by the Bach Choir and two by Gelsenkirchen. We then worked together to produce three videos, featuring performances of Elgar’s As torrents in summer, James MacMillan’s O Radiant Dawn and Faure’s Cantique de Jean Racine. These were launched on 21 June 2021, to coincide with Making Music Day.

It gives us great pleasure to present these videos here, we hope you enjoy them!
